Application Rules

1. Each award nomination must include a letter from the General Manager submitting and validating the entry; please email it to hania@depaawards.com .

2. Complete the online application form available on the Depa Hotel Awards website: www.depaawards.com .

3. Once your application form is approved and entered in the Depa Awards Nomination System (DANS), you will receive an email containing your user login and password, which you will need to access DANS.

4. A simple user manual will be sent to all approved applicants explaining DANS.

5. Each applicant will be provided with a dedicated web page to represent their hotel on the website.

6. Use DANS to update/edit the page which will introduce your hotel to the industry. The hotel web page must include all relevant information that can be used to evaluate your nomination against each of the criteria of the award you have opted for.

7. Each hotel web page can consist of text and images; it is recommended to keep the hotel page short, concise and straight to the point to simplify the review process of the website visitors.

8. Each hotel can attach/ upload images, short videos, documents and PowerPoint slides with a total size up to 5 MB.

9. You are free to include links to your website, press releases etc which you think could add extra “spice” to your presentation.

10. Please make sure you read and comply with the terms and conditions of the website.

Please note: No fees are required for any nominations
All submissions need to be completed on line before April 5^th 2007 ; the website will then be closed for applications, and you will be able to view completed presentations of all candidates for a one month period, and start judging them according to the categories they applied for; remember, each hotel property can only apply for 2 categories.

Submissions made after April 5th 2007 date will not be accepted.

On the night of the event, we will need a short PowerPoint presentation (maximum 3 pictures) from each candidate, focusing on the categories you have applied for; kindly prepare these slides and upload them on your online application. Remember, this PowerPoint presentation will only be used on the night of the event. You may still use a more elaborate one with more pictures for your online application.
