Overview of the Depa Hotel Awards

Over the last few years, the Depa Hotel Awards have celebrated the extraordinary development and achievements of the Middle East & North Africa hotel industry. The Awards have acted as a catalyst for the growth and development of the hotel industry by providing recognition for the leading hotels and providing inspiration to the industry.

The Awards are designed to recognize and reward outstanding service, performance and creativity by hotels and hoteliers in a variety of carefully selected award categories. They aim to provide an unbias and international standard of excellence for hotels in the Middle East and North Africa.

The competition is open to all Middle East and North Africa four and five star properties and hoteliers who wish to submit applications for the range of categories available and presented on the website; each participant can apply for 1 or 2 categories. Application for an award is made by simply completing a nomination form and submitting it with the appropriate supporting pictorial evidence on the Depa Hotel Awards 2007 website: www.hotelawards.com .

The application period will end in early April 2007, to grant all participants one month’s time to view each others’ applications and prepare to vote.

Award winners will be announced and presented LIVE at the gala dinner on Wednesday May 2nd 2007. Using the latest, interactive and most innovative real-time technology, hotels can anonymously vote amongst each other, to determine who truly deserves the Depa Awards in 2007.

The dinner will be attended by senior executives and personalities from the Middle East and North Africa hospitality industry, along with high profile guests and media.

Award Nominations

Any four or five star hotel or hotel professionals from the following countries can enter The Depa Hotel Awards 2007:

Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates and Yemen.
